This web site is a photographic record of our Truck Africa tour through Africa.

We named the trip the Lost Confidence Tour thanks to regular gastric upsets; the details best left to the imagination. The trip was made on an old Leyland truck christened 'Dawn'.

Horny Dawny!

We started in Nairobi, Kenya, on the 1st of November 1999. From there we travelled south for six weeks through Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and finally ending in Harare in Zimbawe on the 13th of December. Please note that Richard climbed Kilimanjaro just before the main trip, as did Dave.

The truck consised of five Brits, four Kiwis, three Aussies, one Dutchman, one Kenyan and one South African.
We were led by Tina; driven by Clogs; Reuben as camp assistant; and with Nikki training.

The passenger team consisted of:
Anita Pridmore, Aaron Barsanti, Bob 'Emma' Howard, Kerry Shields, Dave Leach, Helen Williams, Jim Atkinson, Robin Jones, Paul Hugget, Emily Humphreys, Richard Barnes-Webb, and last, but not least, Jules joined us at Vic Falls.
